Modern Pictorial “Tree of Life” Wool Runner 40 X 90

This 4×9 runner rug is a premier addition to Rug Kilim’s Modern Collection—a hand-knotted work of art that seamlessly bridges the gap between historical allegory and contemporary chic. Meticulously crafted with a luxurious blend of wool and silk, this runner rug offers a sophisticated luster and a lush, tactile depth that makes the flora and fauna practically leap from their sage-green field. On the Design: This modern runner rug enjoys a whimsical and sophisticated design that draws deep inspiration from Persian rugs of rare pictorial provenances. The composition reimagines the ancient “Tree of Life” motif in a contemporary fashion, discarding classical rigidity in favor of an airy, dream-like orchard. Keen eyes will admire an eclectic arrangement of animal figurals, ranging from powerful leopards and bounding stags to graceful birds and sitting cats, all nestled within a varied floral pattern. The field is uniquely punctuated by stylized palm trees and blossoming saplings rendered in a palette of peach, cream, and sky blue, creating a rhythmic visual energy. Admirers of the craft will appreciate how this runner rug serves as a bridge between historical craftsmanship and current aesthetic sensibilities. The use of silk accents provides a nuanced brilliance to the animal motifs, ensuring they are as alluring to the touch as the warm, nature-inspired colors are to the eye. By translating storied motifs of the past into such a fresh, architectural layout, the design pays homage to the spirit of classic weaving while innovating for the high-end contemporary home
